We improved the sewing workshop
We have renovated the sewing machines in APAN’s sewing workshop in Diriamba. They used to work with old machines that moved with a pedal and only did one type of sewing. The new ones are electric, faster and have four different sewing functions.
Sewing workshops teach the trade to unemployed youth and adult women with little or no income. It is about learning a profession that gives them independence and helps them to get out of poverty with a project of their own.
Just like the APAN wall or the scholarships, we have financed these machines with the intention of improving the infrastructure of education in Nicaragua. The money for this project comes entirely from the event we organized in the summer. Thanks again to all of you who came. We will continue to tell you what we do with your donations.
